Happy Friday. You know the drill. We scoured the internet for links, we compiled them all in this post, and you get to read the latest MWC news of the day. Enjoy your reading as you transition from weekday to weekend.
The Avalos era will take the field today for the first time. Not everyone, however, as a few key players will be limited as they recover from injuries. The goals for the first practice: have fun and compete.
New Mexico had several starters at QB last year due to injuries. One of those is the original starter Tevaka Tuioti, and he is still out all spring. Likewise Nate Jones, who burst on the field as a productive running back last year, remains suspended from the team as he is still working on things off the field. However, it sounds like he is walking the straight and narrow and could be back in a few weeks.
