Weir is done at New Mexico at the end of the season.
News broke Friday afternoon that Paul Weir will be done at New Mexico. He has agreed to a buyout with two years remaining on his contract. It’s been a disappointing season for the Lobos, which has continued the disappointing tenure of Weir, who hasn’t been able to sustain the UNM basketball success they are used to seeing. Not much has gone right for the pairing and a national search will now commence.
Former Spartan trainer is responsible for sexual misconduct.
The longtime sports medicine director who resigned in the summer has been found responsible for at least five cases of sexual abuse against women according to the results of Title IX investigations. It’s a terrible story and some of the athletes discuss finding relief in being heard and things coming to light.
