Final MWC Team Recruiting Rankings.

NCAA Football: San Diego State at BYU USA TODAY NETWORK

Everyone take a big exhale after the last week. Signing Day is in the books and so is the 2021 class.

Although teams have now gone full speed ahead with the class of 2022 (as can be seen by the multitude of offers below), but we are taking the month to fully examine the class of 2021. Next Monday will look at the teams with the best of each position unit in their recruiting classes, while the following one will debut a brand new list, the all-MWC sleeper team in the 2021 class. Today, however, showcases our version of the final team rankings for the 2021 recruiting cycle.

Below are the 12 teams in order, along with the criteria we used to rank the classes, and a tagline that summarizes each team’s class. This is the order our recruiting breakdown series will follow, which starts tomorrow.

Recruiting Calendar:

The dead period is still alive. But based on what the NCAA is allowing, it seems more like a contact period to some degree, as coaches can have unlimited calls and video meetings during this time.

Update: Starting last week, coaches can begin calling high school juniors and their families. players.

As many of you may know by now, I like to also break lists like these down into tiers. Tiers can be helpful to provide a different angle to look at things. If one made an argument for flipping some of the spots on this list but kept them within the same tier, I wouldn’t put up much of a debate.

Tiers:

Tier 1: San Diego State, Boise State, Fresno State, UNLV

Tier 2: Nevada, Colorado State

TIer 3: Air Force, New Mexico

Tier 4: San Jose State, Wyoming

Tier 5: Hawaii, Utah State

Air Force Commitment Tracker:

Since the Air Force Academy regularly has around 100 commits in each class, it’s kind of fun to track them over the course of the year.

Number of Falcon verbal commits: 86
