Happy Tuesday, folks! Big week ahead as we head towards the MW tournament. As always we have a new set of links!
San Diego State has climbed to number 22 in the rankings ahead of their big 2 game series with Boise State. The Broncos are also the only other team receiving votes from the conference.
The Mountain West might be making some decisions regarding postponed games during conference play. despite coaches not wanting to finish out unplayed games, the conference seems to want to satisfy their TV deal. Such games could carry high risk for the top four teams making a push for the NCAA tournament.
Though the news was already out it has now been made official. Craig Smith is getting a contract extension to continue being the HC at Utah State. The contract extends through the 2025-26 season. Coach Smith has led Utah State to the last two MW conference tournament titles.
