MWC Recruiting Roundup 2-15-21

Best positions by teams in the 2021 Mountain West class.

NCAA Football: San Diego State at Boise State Brian Losness-USA TODAY Sports

Everyone take a big exhale after the last week. Signing Day is in the books and so is the 2021 class.

Although teams have now gone full speed ahead with the class of 2022 (as can be seen by the multitude of offers below), but we are taking the month to fully examine the class of 2021. Next Monday will look at the teams with the best of each position unit in their recruiting classes, while the following one will debut a brand new list, the all-MWC sleeper team in the 2021 class. Today, however, showcases our version of the final team rankings for the 2021 recruiting cycle.

Below are the 12 teams in order, along with the criteria we used to rank the classes, and a tagline that summarizes each team’s class. This is the order our recruiting breakdown series will follow, which starts tomorrow.

We will also be wrapping up our cover photo at the end of this month. This week’s photo goes to the team with the most showings on our best position unit list in the 2021 class. It turns out, there was a two-way tie, with Boise State and San Diego State both taking the top honors.

Recruiting Calendar:

The dead period is still alive. But based on what the NCAA is allowing, it seems more like a contact period to some degree, as coaches can have unlimited calls and video meetings during this time.

Update: Starting last week, coaches can begin calling high school juniors and their families. players.

Air Force Commitment Tracker:

Since the Air Force Academy regularly has around 100 commits in each class, it’s kind of fun to track them over the course of the year.

Number of Falcon verbal commits: 86
