Fresno State and San Diego State made appearances in the first College Football Playoff Poll released on Tuesday. What does that mean as of now? Not a ton outside of pride, the committee is clearly intent of keeping Cincinnati away from the Top 4, so the Bearcats are the clear favorite to win the Group of 5 NY6 bid. It’ll take some timely losses for the Mountain West to steal that bid, but for now: the only Group of 5 teams to make the first poll are Cincinnati, Fresno State, and San Diego State.
