There were some great performances in a week filled with critical games

NCAA Football: Nevada at Fresno State Cary Edmondson-USA TODAY Sports

Week eight is behind us and featured some of the most exciting games this season. Here are the top performers of this past weekend.

Offensive Player of the Week

Romeo Doubs (Nevada)

Doubs had a spectacular performance in a losing effort against Fresno State. Doubs finished the game with 19 catches for 203 yards, one of the best receiving performances in Wolf Pack history.

Defensive Player of the Week

Evan Williams (Fresno State)

The junior defensive back had a great performance for the bulldogs. He recovered a huge fumble, had 10 tackles, and 1.5 tackles for loss. It was a huge day for Williams and the Bulldogs. They will need another big performance this weekend when they travel to San Diego to take on the Aztecs.

Special Teams Player of the Week

Matt Araiza (San Diego State)

Araiza continues to be a game changer for the Aztecs. His ability to make long kicks and flip field position on punts has played a crucial role in the Aztecs 7-0 start. Araiza made both of his field goal attempts, including a 51-yarder. Araiza also punted the ball five times, averaging 54.8 yards per punt.
