Game Previews:

What to Watch For:

  • Utah State: How will the Aggies bounce back after their first loss of the season? The road looks tough with in-state BYU. Can they resume their second-half magic or was last week a blue-print to beat them?
  • Nevada: The Wolf Pack are coming off a bye week and before that, a loss themselves. Also, an injury to one of their wide receivers. Seeing how they will respond will be a major focus.
  • Boise State: The Broncos opened conference play relatively strongly, but the same big questions remain. Can they run the ball and can they tackle with enough consistency? They are in must-win territory to save their season.
  • UNLV: The Rebels nearly pulled off an upset last week. They have another chance now. Can they take advantage of playing a beatable team and find a way to win?
  • Air Force: The Falcons face a division foe and look to continue running over their competition. Look to see if their defense can continue their strong showing from their last game.
  • New Mexico: The Lobos need to get back to their play from earlier in the season. It won’t be easy with Air Force, but it is worth keeping an eye on seeing if the defense is prepared to face the option.
  • San Jose State: Will the wind be let out of their sails after last week’s loss or can they pull things together and find a way to win? They have an easier team to figure things out.
  • Fresno State: The Bulldogs won last week but still want to bounce back and prove that was an aberration. Look for their defense to resume being formidable and to take care of business against Hawaii.
  • Hawaii: On the other hand, Hawaii should be studying film from the UNLV game as much as possible. The Bulldogs may be vulnerable and Hawaii can salvage their season with a win.
