NCAA Basketball: Boise State at Houston Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

Boise State took on Air Force twice this week with both games being held at Extra Mile Arena in Boise, Idaho. The Broncos overcame a shaky first half in both contests and managed to walk away with consecutive double digit victories. Boise State has now won ten consecutive games and improved to 10-1 overall and 6-0 in Mountain West play; five of the six victories have been by double digits.

In the first game on Wednesday night, the Broncos had four players in double digits led by Derrick Alston with 16 points. Marcus Shaver, Max Rice, and Devonaire Doutrive combined to scored 35 points off the bench. The Broncos had a dominant second half and cruised to a 78-59 victory.

On Friday evening, the Broncos had to overcome an Air Force squad that was shooting lights out. The Broncos finally settled in during the second half, using an early 10-0 run to gain a lead that they would not surrender. Abu Kigab had his best performance as a Bronco with 25 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists. Derrick Alston also chipped in 19 points en route to a 80-69 win for Boise State.

The Broncos have a short turnaround, as they will travel to Laramie to take on Wyoming this Monday and Wednesday.
