Anthony Tucker named Utah State Aggies new Offensive Coordinator and Quarterback coach

Anthony Tucker, who has gathered up to 11 years of collegiate coaching experience, has now been officially hired by Utah State to be their new offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. This was made known to the public by the Aggies head football coach Blake Anderson.

Tucker will be starting a new life in Utah having spent three years with the UCF Knights helping them achieve a 28-8 record, which included a 19-5 conference mark and three bowl matches. He helped them become the champions of the American Athletic Conference with an 8-0 record as they finished the season ranked No. 11 in the country.

During the 2018 campaign, Tucker was the Knights' running back coach before he was given the passing game coordinator in 2019 and eventually to co-offensive coordinator in 2020. Under Tucker's reign, the Knights running game delivered a three-year best record in the school history as the team reached a school record of 3,448 yards (265.2 yards per game) and a school-best 43 touchdowns in 2018, 2,909 yards (223.8 yards per game) and 34 touchdowns for the 23019 season, 2,107 yards (210.7 ypg) and t23 touchdowns for the 2020 season.

"Anthony obviously did an outstanding job at UCF and was an important part of their success the last three seasons," said Anderson. "His offensive style is cutting edge and dynamic, and his West Coast background is critical for our recruiting moving forward. Anthony's energy and offensive knowledge will be a great asset for the rest of our staff."

In 2018, Tucker helped the UCF team rank up to the fifth position in the nation with 347 first downs, eighth in rushing offense, fifth with 522.7 yards of total offense per game, and lastly sixth in scoring as they gathered 43.2 points per game for that season.

In 2019, he helped them to a 10-3 record and a victory in the Gasparilla Bowl. They were ranked second in the nation in offense, fifth in scoring with 43.4 points per game, eighth in passing offense with 316.7 yards per game, and 19th in rushing offense, with new casino online uk giving impressive odds for their rankings each season.

The Knights ended their 2020 season with an appearance in the Boca Raton Bowl.
