A recap of former Utah State players in Week 16 of the NFL

Each week after the NFL has completed its slate of games (starting with Thursday night football and ending after Monday night football) this series will take a look at news and statistics surrounding former Utah State Aggies players.

Week 16

Kansas City Chiefs

Darwin Thompson saw seven snaps on special teams (32%) in a 17-14 win over the Falcons. He has not seen any carries at running back since a 35-9 win over the Jets.

Chicago Bears

Patrick Scales saw 10 snaps on special teams (32%) in a 41-17 win over the Jaguars but has not seen any time on defense since a 24-17 loss to the Titans.

Los Angeles Chargers

In a 19-16 win over Denver, Nick Vigil registered four total tackles (one solo, three assist) and also had a sack. Vigil also had nine snaps on special teams (31%).

New York Giants

Kyler Fackrell had two tackles (one solo, one assist) in a 19-17 win over the Bengals and also had a quarterback hit and played one snap on special teams.

Green Bay Packers

Jordan Love has not seen any playing time this season.

Las Vegas Raiders

Nevin Lawson made three tackles (two solo, one assist) and a pass deflection in addition to 19 snaps on special teams (53%) in a 26-25 loss to the Dolphins.

Carolina Panthers

Tyler Larsen saw three snaps (14%) on special teams in a 20-13 win over Washington.

Seattle Seahawks

Bobby Wagner had six tackles (five solo, one assist) in a 20-9 win over the Rams and saw four snaps (15%) on special teams.

Game Balls

Game Ball #1

Nick Vigil gets the first game ball because even though Bobby Wagner had two more tackles, Vigil also recorded a sack, which can be significant in a three point win.

Game Ball #2

Bobby Wagner had six tackles against the Rams but did not have any tackles for loss.

Game Ball #3

Nevin Lawson gets the third game ball because he had three tackles compared to Fackrell’s two tackles and also played more snaps on special teams.
