We saw Boise State launch something similar the other day, now Wyoming does the same. Expect more Group of 5 athletic departments reach out to the public for donations in the coming months. The financial blow from football season being delayed will be enormous. When Boise State and Wyoming, two of the richer programs in the Mountain West from a booster/financial support standpoint, are asking for help, you know it’s going to be a bad few months around the Group of 5 scene.
2020 College Football Quarterback Rankings: All 130 FBS starters
Thoughts? The highest-ranked Mountain West quarterback is, uh, Donald Hammond III. Colorado State’s Patrick O’Brien was next up in the rankings. San Jose State’s transfer Nick Starkel ranks third, and Boise State’s Hank Bachmeier is fourth in the MW and ranked 65th overall. Interesting to say the least. Utah State’s Jason Shelley is fifth, showing that PFF is quite confident in the transfer quarterbacks arriving...whenever football restarts.
Tennessee Titans release former University of Hawaii quarterback Cole McDonald
Oof, that was quick. Trevor Siemian appears to have stolen McDonald’s spot. A seventh-round selection, McDonald will be looking to bounce back elsewhere quickly. No preseason football is going to be a big problem for fringe roster players.
Wolf Pack plans to continue practicing, testing in revenue sports
Unlike spring, Nevada has not shut down shop for sports on campus, despite fall sports being postponed until spring. Seems programs across the Mountain West are attempting to keep their athletes in the fold in these uncertain times.

4 isn’t many, but the virus has officially been found in the Wyoming athletic department
A quick story on the four positive COVID-19 tests among UW student-athletes. As of now, the school has administered more than 10,000 tests; there are a total of 44 active cases among students and staff. https://t.co/o3oFbAey9n
