Mountain West hoops play has come to an end and we already have two coach firings. SDSU and USU will find out their seeds for the NCAA tournament on Sunday and baseball is now in full swing.

Week 19 AP poll

The final AP poll of the regular season has San Diego State dropping one spot to number 6. Utah State has jumped back into the picture after winning the conference tournament as they received 40 votes. Both the Aztecs and Aggies will be looking to make some noise in the the NCAA tournament and will learn their seeding this upcoming Sunday.

Edwards out as Wyoming HC

Allen Edwards has been fired as head coach of Wyoming. Wyoming’s wild ride in the MW tournament wasn’t enough for Edwards to keep his job after an abysmal regular season in which the Cowboys finished with only 2 conference wins.

Dave Philipovich fired as Air force HC

The other coach firing comes out of Air force as Dave Philipovich will no longer be the coach of the Falcons. Philipovich has been the coach since 2011-12 and has endured 7 straight losing seasons.
