Nevada Football announces 2020 schedule

The Nevada football 2020 schedule was released by the Mountain West Thursday. Unlike last season, each game will be played on a Saturday.

The Wolf Pack will play six home games, including the season-opener versus UC Davis on on Aug. 29. Their only other home non-conference game comes against UTEP (Sept. 12). The first of Nevada’s two-game series versus UTEP resulted in a 37-21 Nevada win in El Paso, Texas.

Nevada’s second game of the season comes against Arkansas (Sept. 5) in Fayetteville, Ark., its second SEC opponent the last three seasons. The Pack close out the non-conference schedule versus South Florida (Sept. 19) in Tampa, Fla.

The Wolf Pack open conference play at Mackay Stadium versus San Diego State (Sept. 26), the first of four conference home games. Nevada also hosts Fresno State (Oct. 24) from the West Division, plus Utah State (Oct. 31) and Wyoming (Nov. 14; Senior Night) from the Mountain Division.

Three of Nevada’s four conference road games come against Hawai’i (Oct. 3), New Mexico (Oct. 17) and San Jose State (Nov. 7). The Wolf Pack’s final road contest comes in the Battle for the Fremont Cannon versus UNLV on Nov. 28 — the fifth straight season the two intrastate foes have met for the regular season finale.
