QB Jordan Love is an NFL draft first-round hopeful, but teams want an explanation for 17 interceptions
It’s combine week for pro football, and Utah State’s Jordan Love is under the microscope. It’s believed that Love could sneak into the top 10 of the draft, but some teams still have reservations. Love didn’t have the 2019 season many expected. He still figures to be taken in the late first round in the worst case scenario.
Despite the loss to UNLV and a close call against Colorado State, this projection still has San Diego State as a 1-seed in the East region. Utah State is in the field, sort of. This projection has them duking it out with Cincinnati in Dayton for the right to play in Spokane. Aggies have some work to do in the coming weeks to remain firmly in the at-large discussion.
There is more on the line than just NCAA tournament hopes for some Mountain West basketball stars this spring. San Diego State’s Malachi Flynn feels like the likeliest Mountain West player to be drafted in the NBA Draft this summer. Boise State’s Derrick Alston has had an inconsistent junior season, but could declare. Read above to see who else might walk across the stage to meet Adam Silver.
