Hawaii finishes off their season with a win.
The MWC moved to 2-0 in bowl season and 2-0 against the AAC with a Rainbow Warrior win over Houston. Calvin Turner was all over the place on offense, with 252 total yards and 2 TDs while the defense showed up in a big way, holding the Cougars to just 14 points. In a season full of turmoil, it ended on a positive for Hawaii.
Former Ram athletic trainers speak out.
Two athletic trainers have left Colorado State in recent months, citing the athletic department’s failure to adhere to Covid-protocols.
An official investigation was conducted in August and there were not anything significant findings. Also, there is this allegation:
Is Boise State’s next hire important for the Mountain West?
Chris Murray of Nevada Sport’s Net seems to think so. He acknowledges they may not pay the most compared to AAC programs, but the job basically comes with guaranteed wins. However, given the athletic department’s budget issues, no AD, now no football coach, and a rocky relationship with the conference, the coaching hire is vital for Boise State. He cites the Broncos still being great but not meeting their high standards. The MWC has also had tons of coaching turnover in the past two years (8 schools in the past 13 months). Love them or hate them, Boise State’s consistent success is a rock for the conference. If the school and conference want that to continue, they need to make a great hire.
