The Mountain West has released their awards list as the final conference game will take place this weekend in Las Vegas between San Jose State and Boise State for the Mountain West title. A couple of different Aggies were acknowledged as Mountain West honorable mentions.

Offensive lineman Demytrick Ali’ifua, safety Shaq Bond, linebacker Nick Heninger, punter Stephen Kotasnlee, defensive lineman Marcus Moore, offensive guard Karter Shaw, wide receiver/kick returner Savon Scarver, and linebacker AJ Vongphachanh were all named Mountain West honorable mentions. None of the current Aggies made the first or second team Mountain West all conference teams.

In 2019, two Aggies made the first team offense list, kicker Dominik Eberle and receiver/kick returner Savon Scarver, and one Aggie made the first team defensive team, David Woodward. No players made the second team offense for Utah State but one player made the second team defense, defensive lineman Tipa Galeai.

That year, five players made the honorable mention list, defensive back Shaq Bond, running back Gerold Bright, quarterback Jordan Love, tight end Caleb Repp, and defensive lineman Christopher Unga.

Nobody on the Aggies offense really stood out for most of the season but Utah State will have an opportunity to get more players on award lists under new coach Blake Anderson.
