Arkansas State began the season with a loss to Memphis then turned around and pulled off a major upset against Kansas State. The Red Wolves would have two games postponed before a loss to Costal Carolina. Arkansas State would beat Central Arkansas and Georgia State before losing five straight games. The Red Wolves would beat Louisiana Lafayette on December 5th and have their game against Incarnate Word cancelled.
At the beginning of the season, it would have been hard to believe that Gary Andersen would have left and that Blake Anderson was coming in. This has been a weird year and a weird season.
A press conference to introduce Blake Anderson as the Utah State Football head coach will be held on December 14th at 11 A.M. and it can be streamed at UtahStateAggies.com/watch.
Utah State will also hold a Q & A session with Blake Anderson following the press conference, where Utah State fans can ask questions and interact with the new coach.
Blake Anderson was 51-37 as a head coach for Arkansas State and 38-18 in conference games. The Red Wolves worst season under Anderson was a 4-7 (2-6) season this season. Their best season came in 2015, where the Red Wolves went 9-4 and undefeated in conference play.
