NCAA Football: Hawaii at San Diego State Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

Football season rolls on, basketball season set to begin. We hope everyone is having a good week heading into the holiday. As always, enjoy today’s links.

Week 12 AP poll

Still no MW teams ranked but we have the same three teams knocking on the door. Nevada received 23 votes, Boise State earned 6 and San Jose State got 3. top 3 are Alabama, Notre Dame and Ohio State.

SDSU looking for a game after cancellation, not scared of PAC 12

San Diego State is attempting to find an opponent this week after their game against Fresno State was cancelled. Head Coach Brady Hoke said they would head to Washington to play the Huskies “in a heartbeat” if a MW game is not possible.

Marcus Shaver ready for debut

It is finally basketball season. The Mountain West is shaping up to have some real talent this season. One stand out transfer is former Portland Pilot, Marcus Shaver. After originally being recruited by Boise State, Shaver makes his way to the Broncos via transfer and coach Leon Rice couldn’t be happier. Shaver started 52 games for Portland the last two seasons averaging 13.4 PPG 3.3 RPG and 2.2 APG. He is shaping up to be one of the most talented guards in the conference and will surely be a big contributor for the Broncos this season.
