Each week after the NFL has completed its slate of games (starting with Thursday night football and ending after Monday night football) this series will take a look at news and statistics surrounding former Utah State Aggies players.

Week 10

Seattle Seahawks

Bobby Wagner had seven solo tackles and a tackle for loss in a 23-16 loss to the Chargers. He had a pass deflection and played on 70 snaps (100% of the defensive snaps). On the season Wagner has 87 total tackles (50 solo and 37 assist) and 5 TFL.

Carolina Panthers

Tyler Larsen appeared on four snaps in a loss to Tampa Bay, which is the most number of snaps he has appeared on this season. Previously, Larsen appeared on two snaps in week four against the Cardinals, but an appearance on four snaps is a positive for Larsen moving forward as he tries to see the field more.

New York Giants

Kyle Fackrell had two tackles (two combined) and one quarterback hit. He saw a production of increase this week (87% to 94%) against the Eagles. On the year, Fackrell has 29 tackles (19 solo, 10 assist) and 6 tackles for loss. Fackrell also has an interception for a touchdown.

Las Vegas Raiders

Nevin Lawson had a tackle, a pass deflection, and a forced fumble and fumble recovery in a 37-12 win vs the Broncos. In 2020, 31 tackles and a tackle for loss in addition to a sack. This was Lawson’s second forced fumble of the season. In this game there was a significant reduction in snap production from 100% of the snaps to 56% but has made a significant impact on defense.

Los Angeles Chargers

Nick Vigil played on 17% of the defensive snaps and a fumble recovery for 44 yards. This was Vigil’s second fumble recovery of the season and he has 12 total tackles, seven solo, in a 29-21 loss to Miami.

Chicago Bears

Patrick Scales didn’t appear on any defensive snaps after recording a tackle against the Titans. He played on 10 special teams snaps (31% of the snaps) which shows that he is still seeing playing time on the field and could see more time on defense in the future.

Kansas City Chiefs

Darwin Thompson and the Chiefs were on a bye week.

Green Bay Packers

Jordan Love has not appeared yet and likely won’t anytime soon as the 3rd string quarterback.

Game Balls

Game Ball #1

Nevin Lawson may have only had one tackle but he also recovered a fumble and was instrumental in a strong defensive effort against the Broncos.

Game Ball #2

Bobby Wagner recorded 7 tackles and has been a key starter for the Seahawks for a while now.

Game Ball #3

Tyler Larsen may have only seen four snaps on offense but it is significant because it shows with continued improvement and production, especially in a year where COVID-19 and injuries are a big problem, Larsen may get more playing time.
