The revised Mountain West Conference schedule has come out. And with it comes more uncertainty for the New Mexico Lobos men’s basketball team.
The Lobos are already unable to practice due to the statewide public health order in New Mexico and have yet to find a place out of state that they could move and practice for the time being much like their football counterparts have done by moving to Las Vegas for this season. So, unless things change drastically in the next two weeks, it seems very unlikely that the Lobos will open their season on December 3rd as scheduled.
The Lobos have also yet to put together any non-conference contests, and likely will not have any given the shelter-in-place for New Mexico runs through November 30th and the scheduled start to the college basketball season is November 25th.
Nonetheless there is a new schedule out, so let’s take a look at it. The Lobos are scheduled to open conference play on Thursday December 3rd with a road trip to Boise State to take on the Broncos. As of now the regular season for UNM is scheduled to end on February 24th. The new schedule is below.
