Game Previews:
What to Watch For:
- Bulldogs/Aggies: Fresno State seems to have figured it out last week and Rivers looked pretty unstoppable last week. Utah State struggles against high-quality running backs. And in pretty much every other area so far this season. Maybe the coaching change will inject some new life or urgency into the team. Or maybe it will make the team more lifeless.
- Rainbow Warriors/Aztecs: This looks to be the best matchup on paper heading into the weekend. Two 2-1 teams, one built on offense, especially passing, and the other known for it’s defense and running game. A classic battle of strength vs strength.
- Wolf Pack/Lobos: New Mexico has looked competitive this season and have kept both games relatively close. However, this will undoubtedly be their best competition. Nevada’s offense doesn’t appear to be slowly doing anytime soon and really the biggest question is just how much they will win by. The Lobos should focus on continuing to develop their young offensive weapons.
- Rebels/Spartans: Pretty much the same as the one above. San Jose State’s offensive is versatile and effective and the team’s confidence is at an all-time high this year. UNLV has been a big of a mixed bag, but they seemed to have settled into a personnel on the field and have looked better each week. While this probably isn’t the week they get a win, they can still have a productive showing.
