The champs are back! San Diego State men’s basketball is expected to repeat as Mountain West champions. The Aztecs were robbed last spring of a potential Final Four run thanks to the unforeseen pandemic. Fear not, they should be great again.

Boise State’s Alston named Preseason Mountain West Player of the Year

Wednesday was highlighted by Mountain West media day (via Zoom, of course) for men’s basketball, and the typical names are expected to succeed in the Mountain West. Save for one, of course. It’s not often Boise State is picked second in the league, and garnering first-place votes. Derrick Alston surprisingly returned to school and will lead a roster filled with high quality transfers now eligible. Can the Broncos make a run this spring?
