Game Previews:
What to Watch For:
- Aggies vs Broncos: Utah State lost the core of their team from last year, and has one of the more difficult schedules this season. Will this year silence the doubters or be a development year? For Boise State, the question is will they be good this year or simply good enough?
- Cowboys vs Wolf Pack: This game should feature a strong defense against an exciting offense, but the bigger questions are the Wyoming offense (who will start at QB? Will the offense score enough to compete for the conference this year?) and Nevada defense (Can they take a step forward and keep every game from needing to be a shootout to win?)
-
Lobos vs Rams:This is the first game for either coach with their new team. Can Gonzales and company be competitive in their first year of the rebuild? On the other side, does Colorado State have enough energy for one last bowl run with their core players before they leave? - Rebels vs Aztecs: Another game featuring two coaches in their first year with a new team. Can UNLV show something in their first game in the new era? They have a tough first opponent. On the SDSU side, can they demonstrate even a hint of a passing game with their new coaching staff?
- Falcons vs Spartans: The only game featuring a team who has played so far, is this Air Force team for real after demolishing Navy a few weeks ago? Are the Spartans a one-year wonder or did they take a step forward in 2019?
- Rainbow Warriors vs Bulldogs: What the heck will Hawaii’s offense look like? They’ve had practically no time to install new schemes and even if they have, their personnel doesn’t fit the Graham’s preferred offense. Meanwhile the Bulldogs get their offensive guru back and hopefully can inject some energy back into their play after last year. Can they bounce back?
