Visit Recap

WR Chance Luper (Boise State)

“I had a lot of fun on the visit. One of the highlights was the game, where I had a lot of fun! The atmosphere during it was the best part. I got to talk to the players and coaches a bit after the game. We just talked about how i would fit in there, and I got along well with a lot of the players because a lot of them are from Texas like me. I can definitely picture myself being in their offense and playing for these coaches. The plan is to take a visit to Louisville in October and commit after my season.”

OL Kohl Herbolsheimer (Wyoming)

“Probably the best part was how amazing the coaches were. Every coach had so much respect for one another and just respected each other. Then the players were awesome too. They love everything I love and are amazing guys. They really just gave me tours of everything and helped me get a better understanding of Wyoming and how they operate. Then the players are just so close with each other and especially the offensive lineman. They all are so close and countless time Saturday they told me ‘I would take a bullet for anyone on this line’ and I heard it from 5-10 different lineman. I could playing for someone like Coach Bohl, because he’s really big on how everything’s for the team, and I really like that.”

Commitment Spotlight

DB Jalen Hodo (Air Force)

“I committed because I’m able to secure my spot on a team that actually wanted me and the Air Force Academy is just a different place from where all my other schools. It’s amazing out there and the benefits after college life is second to none. I’ll be able to come out of college with close to a six-figure job involving the military in my area of study, plus military benefits. Their coaches are unbelievable and the safety coach is just cool to be around with and I’m excited to work with him. They haven’t said too much while I was there during my visit and camp besides using me how I play at Poteet right now. Which is having to be able to play fees safety and strong safety”

OL Nathan Cardona (Boise State)

“The most important factor was the strong sense of family and the true feel of brotherhood in the locker room and with the entire staff. From the time I sat down with Coach Harsin and in my position meeting with Coach Bedell, I instantly felt at ease with the process and knew that I wanted to go to work and give everything I have to them and the Bronco family. I knew going up there that it was possible (I would commit) based on my unofficial in June. Everything felt right walking in to meet with Coach Harsin on Sunday morning; my family and I talked about it the entire trip and we just kept checking boxes off the list. The brotherhood is so strong. Seeing how the team treats each other and interacts in and out of the locker room was something that stood out. They all respected each other. Michael Callahan was my host; we are good friends and played together at YLHS. He was able to introduce me to his class and it was obvious how close they all are, even in just a few months of being together. On Saturday during my facility tour a number of older players were walking around with their families and all stopped to check in with me. The family feeling is real, you just know that they are all in it together. Coach Bedell wants to put the ball in my hand as soon as I get in (playing center) and then move me over to guard. He wants me to know all the interior spots, which is what I am really fired up for. Coach Bedell spent a lot of time talking about his style of coaching and what he wants in his guys. He likes the road graders and guys that aren’t afraid to mix it up. and believe I can be one of those guys. Coach Harsin talked in depth about the Bronco way and how important it is that his players do the right thing all the time. We talked about the blue collar mentality that the program has towards everything they do and that is what makes Boise special.”
