Big news on the recruiting trail.

NCAA Football: Georgia State at Air Force Ray Carlin-USA TODAY Sports

WARNING: The following is satire and completely fictitious. Do not take any of it seriously, but enjoy the ride.

This week, Jon Smith, a three-star athlete in the 2020 class made a huge recruiting announcement. He narrowed down his list of schools that he will be concentrating on going forward, releasing his top 25 schools that he will be focusing on.

Smith recounted the following in a tweet-note:

I am truly grateful and thankful for each and every one of the schools who have been recruiting me, and even the ones who haven’t but I am interested in still. Without further ado, here are the 25 schools with I will be concentrating on, but I am still open to other schools. #Blessed #Thankful #DreamBig

With this huge recruiting update, it may turn the tides in the recruiting world as these teams can shift their attention to Smith and compete for one of his five official visits. Where will he end up? Who knows. But the important thing is he was able to cut down his list so he can properly focus on a smaller number of schools.
