This may have been the slowest recruiting news week in quiet some time. Teams are focusing on the season and high school players are as well. If they are planning to commit before their senior season’s start, they likely have already done so. Other recruits are now more likely to want to take some official visits before committing. Likewise, college coaches haven’t been handing out many offers as they prepare for the start of the college season. All this to say, there are reasons there were only three offers handed out all of last week. But hey, San Jose State had two of them, so they get another spot on the cover photo.

Still the Dead Period, but not for much longer!
LB Caleb Garner (Air Force)
“I committed to the Falcons because first of all, I wanted to play D1 football and they gave me the opportunity. I wanted to further my education as well and develop friendships that would last forever so why not go to one of the best D1 colleges to do that at. The coaches definitely had a great impact on my decision I love all of them and have a great relationship with all of the coaches. They were very excited when I committed of course; they said I have a bright future and thing I’m gonna dominate up there. They like my aggressive nature and how I can run side line to side line and make tackles. They also liked my frame a lot because right now I’m 6’2 215 and a SR in high school so by the time I get there and work out and stuff I will probably be at 230 or so.”
