Boise State held its annual “Fan Fest” event on Saturday and with it, we learned who would be leading the Broncos in their opening week contest against the Florida State Seminoles. Bachmeier took all of the snaps with the “1’s” on Saturday and Bronco coach Bryan Harsin proclaimed that Bachmeier would be the starter in Jacksonville.
It definitely seems like Hank Bachmeier is the guy. Literally everything Harsin has said points to Hank running out there against #FloridaState... pic.twitter.com/8Z2PETlBEe

Harsin would not go as far as saying that the quarterback competition was over, but he did say that Bachmeir was the guy heading into week one. Harsin also mentioned that there was a possibility that Cord could see some snaps against the Seminoles. Cord did see some wildcat snaps before his ACL injury last season. Bachmeier is the first Boise State true freshman quarterback to start the season opener since the Broncos became an FBS program.
Be sure to tune in next Saturday, when the Broncos take on a perennial ACC powerhouse in Florida State.
