Recruiting in the Mountain West continues to roll along. Offers and new commitments keep coming on a weekly basis. This week saw six new offers, with three coming from the Falcons. The Rams had two and the Bulldogs had the last one. All three of those programs took a step towards making their future better this week. But the week will go to the Air Force Academy.

Commitment Spotlight:
WR Jamir Shepard (Fresno State)
“Some of my reasons were that I wanted to be somewhere I can win a championship, I can build a legacy and be the next one of the Palo Alto Wide Receivers to go to the NFL also I am closer to home and my family can come and watch me play. That pipeline had a big impact on my decision; if two wide receivers can go to the NFL, a third one can too. My relationships with the coaches is great. I love coach Moore and Grubb, we talked about life and football and it was the best. And Coach Tedford told me about himself, and he’s the best. When I committed, they said ‘man I am just so happy for you. It has been awesome recruiting you and now your a Dog!!’ They like how I’m a great guy and I can play ball. I am a big receiver and I can go up and get the ball and break tackles and just make guys miss. Now I’m ready to get to work.”
OL Weston Wallace (Colorado State)
“I committed because the campus was great and I felt like there was a lot of community backing for the school. Plus, the coaches really made me feel at home, I feel like coach Johnson will be able to take me to the next level, and I think I could make a impact early. Usually when you go on visits only you position coach will hang out with you, but with them everyone stayed with me. Also most of them are from Georgia so even though the distance is far, they are still the same type of people I’m used too. Coach Johnson is great, I like his way of talking to his players and not the yelling that most coaches do. He also talks about how much he wants me and that always makes you feel good. He just a all around great person and I’d love to play for him. When I committed, he said that he’s really excited and one of the best phone calls he’s gotten. I think they like my frame and the way I finish blocks in the run game. I think I fit in great with the run game and then my size will be able to protect the QB from the larger DT.”
