Ranking Boise State’s Top Players: Number 7

This interior lineman will look to finish his career on a high note.

We are continuing our countdown of the top players on the 2019 Boise State football team. This week, we feature a player who will be looking to solidify a spot in the 2020 NFL draft and team up with Ezra Cleveland to form one of the best guard/tackle duos in college football. Coming in at number seven...

John Molchon

The redshirt senior has been a consistent feature for an offensive line that has had its ups and downs in recent seasons. Molchon has had quite a career for the Broncos. He got significant playing time as a redshirt freshman, playing in seven games and starting three. As a sophomore and junior, he started 26 of 27 games and has formed a strong left side of the line with Ezra Cleveland. As a sophomore, Molchon was named All-Mountain West Honorable Mention and was All-Mountain West First Team in 2018. Expectations will be sky high for Molchon and the offensive line in 2019. They will need to meet those expectations, as they will need to be reliable for their new quarterback and running back.

Will Molchon help the offensive line get off to a strong start? Or will the Bronco behemoths have some early bumps?

Let’s take a look at the countdown to this point.

#15: John Ojukwu

#14: David Moa

#13: Avery Williams

#12: Zeke Noa

#11: Kekoa Nawahine

#10: Sonatane Lui

What do you think? Where would you place these players? Stay tuned next week for a look at number six.
