Wolf Pack in the NBA, Academic All-Stars, Pre-Season Watchlists

Happy Tuesday, everyone. We are inching closer to the start of MW action again but until then we have news on MW players in the NBA, academic all-star teams and pre-season watch lists. Take a look!

Wolf Pack in the NBA

Nevada alumni Jordan Caroline and Cody Martin have finished their pre season play with their respective NBA teams. Through five games Caroline averaged 14.6 PPG (20.3 over his last 3) and 4 RPG. Caroline led the Lakers to a 25 point comeback against the warriors while scoring 20 points on 7-8 from the field. Martin, with the Hornets, averaged 8.6 PPG and 3.6 RPG through 5 games. Both Martin and Caroline were starters for their teams when healthy.

MW has record 1,021 athletes on academic all-star team

The Mountain West has broken its previous record of 1,000 all academic honorees for the Spring session. These athletes come from MW basketball, golf, softball, baseball, diving, tennis, and track and field. In order to be an honoree athletes must have over a 3.0 GPA and be a significant contributor for their team.
