NCAA Football: Arizona Bowl-New Mexico State vs Utah State Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

And we’re back at it. Welcome to the start of another week. In face, it’s the last week before MWC Media Days, which signals the start of the college football season in my opinion. Even if you disagree, check out what’s coming your way both in the links and from the site this week.

Spoiler: Savon Scarver is a good player. How did that come to be?

Some old school, summer running up local Old Main Hill. Savon credits using that for jumping and footwork along with sprinting as far back as middle school for the reason of how he became so fast. It’s paid off for both Scarver and his Aggies team as he enjoyed a breakout season last year. The national scene has taken notice as well, putting him on a few All-American preseason teams. Now as a junior, he looks to take the next step.

Wolf Pack add a power 5 opponent to future schedule.

The Nevada athletic department made some headlines late last week, completing their 2021 and 2022 football schedule, with games in 2023 as well. A home and home with New Mexico State occurs in the 2021 and 2022 seasons, while the same set up against Texas State will take place in 2022 and 2023. However, the big name game will be the following year, when the Wolf Pack venture into California to take on USC in 2023. Check out their full schedule for each season in the article.

Can Boogie Roberts succeed in the NFL?

The LA Rams SBNation site takes a look at former San Jose State DT Boogie Roberts and his chances at making the roster this season. They like his explosiveness and involvement in the pass-rush, but state he’ll need to add muscle to go up against NFL offensive linemen. There are spots to be had along the Rams D-line, but there is also quite a bit of competition lined up behind the starters. They give him a .5 out of 10 chance to make the roster, but feel he could stick on the practice squad.

Utah State hoops adding games.

Woodward in a league of his own as a coverage LB.
