Cowboys recruiting, Rams uniforms, Lobos new hire, speculation, preseason hype.

NCAA Football: Air Force at Wyoming Troy Babbitt-USA TODAY Sports

It’s Monday and we’re back in action after a nice weekend. MWC links are starting to pick up a bit as we inch closer to the start of football season as we are just four weeks from MWC Media Days week. Check out what’s coming your way today and this week:

McGrew a familiar face with a new spin to Cowboys recruiting.

It’s nice to be able to promote from within and that’s what Wyoming is doing as Ian McGrew goes from assistant recruiting director to the top person this offseason. He’s been there since 2015 and knows the program inside and out and knows what it takes to bring talent to Laramie. He plays less of a direct role in scheduling visits now and puts in more time towards evaluating athletes and having discussions with Coach Bohl on who is offered or prioritized. He’s also trying to make the process more efficient by coordinating academics, marketing, and camps.

Lobos add to men’s bball staff.

Dan McHale has officially joined the New Mexico Men’s basketball program as an assistant coach. He was previously the head coach at Eastern Kentucky. He’s also been under Rick Pitino at two different stops. He has experience in defensive planning and scheming.

Colorado Pride uniforms are coming back for the Rams.

Colorado State is 0-1 when wearing the uniforms and even that doesn’t tell the entire story The blew two big leads against Boise State, including two touchdowns in the last two minutes of the 4th quarter. They are hoping for better fortunes when they break them against UNLV on Nov 2nd.

It’s time for peak rumor season thanks to UConn.

MWC gets 7 players on Athlon preseason all-American team.
