This week we are continuing our countdown of the top players on the Boise State roster. This week we have a familiar face who could take a great defensive line and make them even better if he can stay healthy. With that being said, coming in at number 14...
David Moa
If it feels like David Moa has been at Boise State forever, it’s because he has. Moa is returning for his sixth season at Boise State. Moa was granted a medical redshirt after appearing in only one game this past season. Moa had a historically great sophomore season in 2016 and was on the radar of NFL scouts. Moa finished that season with 8.5 sacks and had a game winning blocked field goal. His numbers dipped his junior season where he was the focus of opposing offensive lines, but it opened the door for the emergence of Curtis Weaver.
There are plenty of question marks surrounding Moa and what kind of production he will have in 2019. Those questions are all fair, but Moa has earned the right to be on this countdown.
Let’s recap the countdown to this point:
#15: John Ojukwu
#14: David Moa
Stay tuned, next week we will be look at number 13 on our countdown.
