Fresno St. names QB, Gangi gets a shot, Boise St. preview

NCAA Football: Arizona Bowl-Arkansas State vs Nevada Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Welcome to the Tuesday after draft day, folks. A lot of undrafted players are still signing with teams and getting invites to camp. We have some offseason basketball, some football previews, and Boise State is already making progress on 2020 recruits. Take a look!

The Mothership previews Boise State.

The SBNation team series continues, this one on Boise State. They pencil in the 2019 version for the same standard the team and fans have grown accustomed to: around a top 25 team, 10+ wins, scoring a lot of points, recruiting very well, competing for a conference title, and being among the teams mentioned for the Group of 5 spot. For Connelly the questions at QB, RB, the new DC and defensive depth aren’t as big as the strength of the receivers, secondary, pass-rushers, and overall talent up and down the team.

First commitment of the Steve Alford era

Steve Alford lands the first commitment since becoming Nevada’s head basketball coach. Kane Milling a 6-4 guard from France will join the Wolf Pack after averaging 14.4 PPG 5.8 RPG and 3.2 APG for Espoirs Limoges. Milling is originally from Poway, CA which is just outside of San Diego but has spent the last 6 years over seas. Milling should be a good edition for the Wolf Pack after showing dramatic growth in recent years.

Ty Gangi getting a shot with the Bucs

Former Nevada QB has been invited to participate in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie minicamp with the hopes of acquiring an invite to the team’s full training camp. Gangi went undrafted as this marks the 4th time in 5 years that no Nevada player was drafted. nonetheless Gangi will get a shot to prove himself in minicamp. Gangi finished his college career with 7,378 yards and 56 TDs for the Wolf Pack.

Boise State lands first 2020 recruit

After putting together one of the best recruiting classes of 2019, Boise State has already made progress on the 2020 class. Isaiah Bradford, cousin of Alexander Mattison, has committed to Boise State out of East Valley HS. Bradford had offers from Colorado, Colorado State, and San Jose State. Bradford is clearly hyped about becoming a Bronco as he called Boise State his “dream school”.
