Some were surprised when Marcus Epps became the Wyoming safety that was drafted, but the Minnesota Vikings had other ideas.
Epps was taken with pick number 191 (6th round), which is a great showing for the safety as it wasn’t a lock he would be drafted.
Marcus would be expected to compete for a backup role his first season or two but will have to earn his stature by find a role on special teams. He’s a versatile and rangy athlete who is capable of making plays in the open field.
