Some new leaks to help ease you into the weekend!
Fresno State holds Bakersfield to three hits for win nine years in the making
For the first time since 2010, the Bulldogs left Bakersfield with a win, beating them 9-3. This victory came on the arms of ten Fresno pitchers. So it’s safe to say that everyone had a part to play in this win. The Bulldogs will travel to San Diego this weekend to take on the Aztects in MWC play.
Boise State football: Still the Mountain West’s best place
With attendance seemingly becoming a talking point across all of sports, it is not a conversation that Boise State has any reason to have. Last season, the Broncos averaged the best attendance figures in the MWC. The key to this success might lie within the very campus that the stadium resided in. The atmosphere in Albertsons Stadium is second-to-none and it definitely keeps people coming back.
Out to prove ‘everybody wrong,’ Tyler Vander Waal isn’t ready to concede QB job
Tyler Vander was the opening day starter for the Cowboys last season before getting benched eight games into the season in favor of true freshman Sean Chambers. This move would provide that Cowboys with a much need offensive spark, but it didn’t last long. Chambers suffered a broken leg in only his second start. This paved the way for Vander to reclaim the starting job, but not permanently. At Wyoming, no-one loses their job to injury, and Chambers was right back taking first team snaps at the team’s first spring practice.
Green, Thomas to leave Warrior basketball team
Hawaii is set to lose two of their players in Leland Green and Brandon Thomas. The two players have entered the NCAA transfer portal. Head coach Eran Ganot had nothing but great things to say about the two players and wished them the best in their future endeavors.
