Boise State @ Oregon State: Round One

Boise State fans were shocked to see that the women’s basketball team would be heading into March Madness as a 13 seed. The selection committee showed the Broncos little respect, as they will have to travel to Corvallis to take on Oregon State in a true road game.

The Broncos will look to slow down Destiny Slocum, who attended Mountain View High School in nearby Meridian, Idaho. Slocum has received some attention in the media in recent days, when it was discovered that Oregon State would take on Boise State. Slocum made it clear that Boise State was never a true contender when it came to her recruitment, and that seemed to annoy Boise State head coach Gordy Presnell.

The Broncos are considered a significant underdog by most experts, but they are also a trendy upset pick for others. The game can be seen Saturday at 3:30 Mountain time on ESPN2.
