Boise State DC heads to Oregon
Andy Avalos is reportedly accepting the defensive coordinator position at Oregon after serving in the same role with Boise State for the past 3 seasons. Under Avalos, Boise State’s defense has consistently been among the best in the nation. The move is a major blow to the Broncos who begin spring practice on Friday.
Nevada dealing with injuries down the home stretch
Nevada is dealing with numerous injuries to its primary rotation players as they attempt to finish the season and make a push for a high seed in the NCAA tournament. The most crucial injury is Caleb Martin’s ankle sprain which could hold him out of their game against UNLV later today.
Weekly power rankings
Despite a loss to San Diego State and a number of injuries, Nevada remains atop the weekly power rankings. The top two teams will face off on Saturday night as Nevada visits 22-6 Utah State.
