Boise State needed to win one of their two conference games they were due to play this month and did just that by handling Colorado State by a score of 75-64 on Saturday night. The Broncos who entered they day (4-3, 0-1) needed someone besides Derrick Alston to step up and Justinian Jessup did just that by setting his career high in both points (27) and 3 pointers made (7). Derrick Alston once again showed up big for the Broncos with 20 points while also adding 11 rebounds. After the close loss to New Mexico on Wednesday, the Broncos needed a win here in order not to start 0-2 in conference before playing Wyoming on New Year’s Day. A big part of the Broncos success was once again the three ball. The Broncos made 10 three pointers which was good enough for 40% of their total points. The Broncos will now travel to Tulsa on Wednesday where they will take on the Golden Hurricane (7-2) who are coming off of a loss to Arkansas State; before returning home to take on (1-6) Alabama State.
