How to Watch:

Hawaii vs Boise State (2:00 PM MT) | Coverage: ESPN
Game Previews:
- Hawaii/Boise State collaboration
- Stats Corner Preview
- Thoughts from some of our other writers:
Zach Covert: Last time around the Broncos had 45 points midway through the third quarter. Simply put, the Rainbow Warriors have to play great on defense to have a shot. I don’t think they will. Boise State 55 Hawaii 24
Mike: Though Boise State won pretty handily last time, this game should be completely different. Boise State has a different quarterback, a different look on offense, and will be without Safety Pierce, who spent a good deal of the game in coverage. Hawaii is now basically using a two QB system, has had new playmakers emerge at both WR and S, and the WR who scored two TDs in the last matchup isn’t even on the team anymore. Rematches usually favor the team who lost last time, but I think the Broncos win this one. Boise State 42, Hawaii 34
Alex Wright: At first glance, many would think Boise State would run away with this game, but do not entirely count out Hawaii. The Rainbow Warriors have won on the road in conference play this year. Hawaii’s offense will need to have a mistake free game to give itself a chance, along with scoring a lot of points. While this game will be closer than people think, I’m sticking with the Broncos. They have an outside chance at the Cotton Bowl, and they do just enough at home to take a Mountain West title. My Prediction: Boise State 37, Hawaii 31.
What to Watch For:
The battles to watch are:
- Obligatory win the turnover battle
- Obligatory big special teams play
- Broncos pass rush vs Warrior OL
- Warrior passing game vs Bronco secondary
- Warrior DL vs Bronco rushing attack.
Boise State won during the regular season, but who knows what the championship game will bring.
