The wait is over, college basketball is finally here! In this edition of MTV we have mid-week football news as well as what to look for when MW hoops gets underway.

Wyoming confident in Vander Waal

While it isn’t the way he wanted to get the starting job, Tyler Vander Waal will be Wyoming’s starting QB going forward after it was announced Sean Chambers will be sidelined with injury. Vander Waal has his teammates support knowing he has stepped up before. Vander Waal started last season as the Cowboy starter but was eventually benched in favor of Sean Chambers.

What to watch for in MW hoops

Basketball season is here and Mark Anderson highlights what to watch for as the season gets underway. How concerning is Queta’s health? Which transfers are primed for a big season? How will Coach Alford make his mark in Reno?

MW back in hunt for NY6

With Appalachian State and SMU suffering losses this past weekend, the MW is back in the Cotton Bowl picture. While Memphis’ defeat of SMU propelled them over Boise State it is still a better outcome than an SMU win. Boise State and SDSU, ranked 24 and 21 respectively, will be looking to jump Memphis and Cincinnati of the AAC in the coming weeks.
