Mountain West in the Rankings: Week 10 (Updated with the CFP)

The Mountain West continues to be represented in the polls

The new AP and Coaches Polls were released Sunday morning and the Mountain West continues to be heavily represented. But the real poll will be released on Tuesday and we will learn where Boise State and San Diego State truly stand.

In the AP Poll, Boise State remains at number 21 and San Diego State moved up a spot to number 24. Cincinnati is the highest ranked Group of Five teams at number 17, and Memphis is second at number 19.

In the Coaches Poll, Boise State also remained at number 21 and San Diego State enters the rankings at number 24. Air Force received 4 votes and Wyoming received one vote. Boise State will host Wyoming this week, while San Diego State will host Nevada.

The College Football Playoff rankings were released on Tuesday. Boise State came in at #22, just behind #20 Cincinnati and #21 Memphis. Cincinnati and Memphis play each other the last week of the regular season and could face off again in the championship game. Navy came in at #24 and SMU was ranked #25. San Diego State was not ranked by the selection comittee.
