Colorado State football is not only eliminated from conference championship contention, they’re also unable to attain bowl eligibility this weekend. As a result, the Rams are treating Senior Day like a bowl game when the #20 Boise State Broncos come to town. The Rams snuck up on ranked Utah State late last season, and figure to play with emotion on Black Friday in what will likely be a snow-filled game.
This being Thanksgiving week, you’re bound to notice there is a ton of college basketball on TV. Next year, Boise State men’s basketball will get involved in the weekly festivities. Traveling all the way to Orlando, Florida, the Broncos will be in a field that includes powers like Auburn, Gonzaga, Michigan State, to name a few.
If you follow Mountain West basketball, you know it’s been a rough last five years or so when it comes to out-of-conference performance. Utah State’s win over LSU last week helped the conference, and so did New Mexico’s 59-50 win over Wisconsin. A solid bounce back after getting smoked by Auburn. Mountain West basketball could very much benefit from Lobo basketball reemerging as a mid-major power.
Nevada Sports Net’s Chris Murray details the 12 most memorable games in the Fremont Cannon rivalry. This Saturday’s contest will be awkward considering it’ll be UNLV head coach Tony Sanchez’s last game with the Rebels. Read above to become more knowledgeable about the rivalry that includes close games and brawls!

More from Rocky Long: "I have nothing against BYU. I think they'd be a strong addition to our league. The way to get them back is to not schedule them. Make them hunt and peck and try to find a schedule. Half their schedule or 3/4 of their schedule are MWC teams already."— Jay Drew (@drewjay) November 27, 2019
