What to Watch For:
- Colorado State/Wyoming: The Cowboys should win this one pretty easy. However, it’s still worth watching to see how a good offense and a great defense battle one another.
- Air Force/New Mexico: This used to be the triple option bowl, but not any more. Now just watch the Falcons destroy the Lobos.
- San Jose State/UNLV: Both teams having been playing well in close but no cigar losses. The Spartans may have an edge of paper, but don’t follow count out the Rebels.
- Nevada/Fresno State: The Bulldogs need the win to keep their bowl hopes alive. It’s very possible against the Wolf Pack, but it also won’t be easy.
- Boise State/Utah State: This is the game with the biggest stakes, as the winner is more or less in the driver’s seat for the mountain division and a spot in the championship game. Also it could get interesting with most of the star names questionable to play due to injuries.
- San Diego State/Hawaii: This is also the de facto west division championship game and should be another matchup of high-flying offense and a devouring defense.
