Aztecs take down Bulldogs
San Diego State avenged their loss to Fresno State and now Hawaii is really the only thing standing in their way between them and a MWC Championship game appearance. The Aztecs defense completely shut down the Bulldog offense. Fresno State must now win their final two games to have any shot at a bowl game, far from an easy task.
Broncos destroy Lobos
What happens when the best team in the conference plays the worst team in the conference? A 42-9 victory apparently. And it wasn’t even that close as the Broncos scored 9 seconds into the game with a scoop and score by their NT, the first of four first-quarter touchdowns. All of this was with Boise State’s third-string quarterback Jaylen Henderson, who had a great game in his first D1 start.
Hawaii gets bowl eligible,
It wasn’t easy, as UNLV has a habit of playing well in some of their losses. There were some early turnovers and once again a QB change (this time McDonald subbing in for Cordeiro). Hawaii picked up wins against both Nevada schools in Nevada for the first time in years. There’s a lot of reasons for this to be a very successful season for the Rainbow Warriors.
Aggies top Cowboys
Is there a better four-loss team in the country than Utah State? The Aggies offense showed it was better than the Cowboy defense this week. QB Love had a slow start, with two early turnovers, but they caught fire in the middle of the game. Love did exit early with an undisclosed injury and Wyoming was marching down the field to take the lead with two minutes left in the game before an poor decision that resulted in a game-sealing interception.
