San Diego State (3-1, 0-1 MW) will continue their conference play as they travel to Fort Collins to take on Colorado State (1-4, 0-1 MW).
This will be the 35th time these two programs will face-off against each other, with kickoff slated at 7 p.m. (PT).
The Aztecs are coming off a bye week after it failed to come back in the fourth quarter losing to Utah State by a score of 23-17.
The Rams have had some high scoring affairs, but have only been able to defeat Western Illinois, a struggling FCS team.
In their four losses, Colorado State has given up an average of over 45 points.
San Diego State should be able to capitalize on the lack luster Rams’ defense.
Although the Aztecs have not had high scoring games this season, they have been successful in playing the game at their pace.
This has allowed San Diego State to control the tempo, while not letting the opponent get too much momentum.
On the offensive side of the ball the Rams try to balance their play calling between running and passing plays, but seem to favor the pass more.
If Colorado State tries to pass on the Aztec’s secondary they will not be too successful.
After a disappointing performance against Utah State, the secondary should be able to fix their mistakes in this weeks matchup.
Considering San Diego State is also coming off of a bye week the team should be ready with almost two weeks of preparation for Colorado State.
Look out for Rams running back Marin Kinsey Jr. who is on pace of surpassing 1,500 rushing yards this season.
Keep your eyes on the whole offense for San Diego State as they can have a huge day with multiple playmakers getting into the end zone.
This matchup favors the Aztecs heavily and should be their first conference win of the season.
