Washington gets extra rest, Rams lose RB, players of the week

NCAA Football: Frisco Bowl-Ohio vs San Diego State Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports

Football season has entered the home stretch of the regular season, so of course we have links with the latest football news from around the conference, as well as players of the week.

Juwan Washington gets extra time to heal

SDSU’s star running back, Juwan Washington, will get some extra time to heal his re-injured ankle. Washington hurt his ankle again in the teams 20-17 win over UNLV, but thanks to a bye week the Aztecs will have the luxury of giving him a full week of practice off before the home stretch of their schedule. SDSU is atop the west division and Washington is a big part of the team’s success.

Boise State set to face re-energized Spartan defense

Coach Harsin has not said who will start under center for the Broncos this upcoming weekend but whoever it is will have to be ready for highly improved SJSU secondary. SJSU leads the MW and is second in the entire country with 13 interceptions on the season. This is not the same San Jose State team of years past and Boise State will have to take care of the ball if they want to get back in the win column after their bye week.

Wyoming and Boise State get ESPN spotlight

When Wyoming squares off against Boise State on November 9th it will be on ESPN’s flagship station. This is the first time Wyoming will appear on ESPN’s main channel since the 2017 Potato Bowl. The kickoff for the game is set for 8:15pm. This will be a huge chance for the Cowboys to take on a tough opponent with a national audience watching.

Marvin Kinsey Jr. officially gone for CSU
