This week was full of recruiting excitement. Offers, visitors, commits, and even a decommitment all occurred over the past week. All of these will likely be the norm in the weeks remaining this season. As far as the banner, it was a tougher call. Boise State had a lot of visitors, but no one committed this weekend (but don’t be surprised if they get one in the next few weeks). Air Force, Wyoming, and Nevada all had commits. But Nevada also lost one, and Air Force commits each week are pretty routine. So the Cowboys get the nod this week.

Visit Recap:
DB Kam Forest (SDSU, unofficial)
“It was good, it was wild! I felt the energy of Aztec stadium. It was a close, nerve-racking game and the Aztec fans and fam were loud and energetic after every play during the tight game. It was awesome and gave me a good feel about it all. I got to talk to my guy d-hall who’s on the defensive side for the Aztecs I also talk to the DB coach and defensive coordinator.”
DB Semaj Verner (Boise State)
“The game for sure ! The atmosphere of the crowd was just spectacular. I got talk to the coaches a lot. They really talked about the Bronco culture and players was more of just welcoming me in. The culture is a winning atmosphere from players that are going to work hard. I feel as if I can fit into the culture. The coaches are recruiting me at the safety spot and they said they like my range.”
OL Brandon Hernandez (Boise State)
“The main quote that comes to mind is Boise is what home should feel like. This university is truly amazing. The coaching staff is also like family, I couldn’t ask for anything more. I got to hang out with a few of the players after the game and man the brotherly feel I got was indescribable. It was like I already knew them for my whole life. Boise is the place to be.”
Commitment Spotlight
LB Alec Mock (Air Force)
“When I took my visit there it just felt like home. The coaches were incredible and the whole atmosphere was amazing. The main thing I think that sold me is its a program that I can buy into with the culture and the people. Coach Vandy was one of the best linebacker coaches I’ve ever talked too. All of the players that I had a chance to meet with and talked to all loved what they were doing. Also after talking a lot with Coach Calhoun it’s obvious to see how much he cares about his players and wants to turn them into the best person and player that they can be. They see me as a true inside backer. They compared the role I would be playing a lot to what Kyle Johnson is doing right now.”
