Revamped NCAA waiver policy helps transfers play right away

Welcome to the new transfer market in college football. While most players still need to sit out a season if transferring to another FBS program, now players can submit a waiver. If they can prove that they have, “documented mitigating circumstances that are outside the student-athlete’s control and directly impact the health, safety and well-being of the student-athlete”, they can play right away.
